Iai-Do is the art style of Japanese Swordsmanship where reaction to a surprise attack by counter attack is developed.
Iai-Do is based on three essential and inseparable ingredients:
· the discipline of meditation,
· the discipline of sword movements
· the discipline, etiquette and soul of Bushido.
Iai-Do is closely related to Zen philosophy, which demands the discipline of meditation. Each movement of the sword requires mental discipline in order to perform it to perfection.
Iai-Do is a suitable exercise for people of all ages and fitness levels.
